Andy Vogt
Andy Vogt’s ‘drawings’ with repurposed materials from demolished buildings in San Francisco bring to light our City’s insatiable thirst for change. Working in a variety of media associated with architecture—wood, cement, plaster—his crisp geometric forms are as powerful for what’s not there as for what is.
In addition to many large scale commissions, Vogt has exhibited widely in the Bay Area, including at The Museum of Craft and Design, Southern Exposure, Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco State University, UC Davis Memorial Union Art Gallery, and The Luggage Store. Vogt has a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
